Manspreading
Here’s an extreme example of manspreading: 3 seats. Interestingly, the D train was crowded and many people looked interested in sitting down, but no one woke the young man up and asked him to sit up straight like everyone else.

Womanspreading
We know about manspreading – the male practice of sitting with knees far apart on the subway, occupying an extra seat. Here’s an example of womanspreading – occupying an extra seat or table with purse, newspaper, etc. Can I help it if she contrasts with the advertisement in the newspaper?
