Night shots of carnivals are so much fun to do. All you need is a tripod and a slow exposure, 1/3 second in this case, for the “straight” version of the Ferris wheel.
For the HDR version, you combine two or more different images in Photoshop and adjust the exposure a bit. I like this one better in some ways because the sky is more colorful, you can see the blurry gondolas more, and there is more detail and color on the ground. Many people dislike the HDR look intensely but it has its uses and works well here.
