Holiday Train Show

A tour of New York City’s iconic landmarks as you’ve never seen them: the delightful Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanic Garden. All of the historic buildings and surroundings are constructed from natural materials including wood, leaves, lichens, and bark. Long demolished buildings like the old Penn Station were reconstructed from archival photographs, and trains of all kinds wind in and out of the model cityscape.

Women’s March on New York 1/21/17

Scenes from the Women’s March on New York protesting the inauguration of Donald Trump. An estimated 250,000 women, men, and children marched across 42nd Street and up Fifth Avenue today to Trump Tower in a show of solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington and marches across the country and around the world. In my 26 years of covering demonstrations in New York City, this was by far the largest and the most diverse.
