Chelsea Market
If only there were a way to capture the intoxicating smells of this tea and spice stall in Chelsea Market. The aroma is ever so much better than the spice aisle at Patel Brothers Indian Market in Jackson Heights, where everything is wrapped in plastic but the vapors still manage to escape into the air.

West 17th Street
I love New York. While you’re walking down the street, this is what you can see without even going out of your way. It’s part of a mural by Phlegm, a British artist; homage to Edward Gorey and Breughel, but artists have been imitating one another for centuries.
